RF-SISU Halland is the regional and local organizational lead of the Swedish Sports Confederation and SISU Sports Educators, with the primary task of supporting sports federations/member organizations regionally and locally. All sports clubs in the country should have access to equivalent and tailored support regardless of sport and geographical location. Our main task can be summarized as representing, leading, and supporting, as well as forming and educating within club sports. We are looking for an engaging Sports Consultant who is passionate about strengthening community life and creating safe, developmental sports and community environments in Halland. At RF-SISU Halland, you will have the opportunity to support the development of sports by combining popular education, training, and where you as a business developer – become an important part of the development and future of sports clubs.

About RF-SISU Halland

RF-SISU Halland is one of the regional organizations of the Swedish Sports Confederation and SISU Sports Educators. We work for and with the sports movement, and our primary mission is to support sports clubs and their members through popular education. For us, voluntary engagement, community life, and popular education are core issues. Building relationships, creating dialogue, and meeting our surroundings are central to us.

RF-SISU Halland operates through popular education, which is a societal force both in associations and our regional meeting places. The district offers a varied range of popular education and training, where the learning group is the superpower in local popular education, in associations, to learn from each other.

RF-SISU Halland supports the development of sports in associations - so that more people can have fun, feel good, and develop in associations throughout their lives. The target group is primarily sports clubs, their members as leaders and active participants, but also parents.

Your Role as a Sports Consultant

As a sports consultant, you support the development of clubs by first mapping their needs and creating a popular education plan with them. You work closely with sports clubs and support them in creating conditions for a safe, learning, and developing environment. You are a good listener who can inspire, support, and lead processes that strengthen organizations, leaders, and active participants - both children/youth and adults.

All our roles are based on good organizational skills.

Your Tasks:

  • Outreach work in sports clubs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the quality of educational and popular education initiatives.
  • Support clubs in development processes.
  • Identify needs and link them to various financial support in sports.
  • Work with the methods of popular education such as learning groups.

Your work environment varies – from the club house at sports venues to our office.

Who Are We Looking For?

We believe that you:

  • Have experience in sports and community life, preferably as a leader or board member.
  • Have a pedagogical or sports-related education.
  • Are used to taking responsibility and working independently, but also enjoy being part of a team.
  • Have good pedagogical and social skills.
  • Have good administrative skills with a personal drive to plan and complete tasks.
  • Are outgoing, flexible, and inspiring.
  • Are passionate about popular education and community and sports development.

Meritorious:

  • Experience of voluntary work in sports clubs, especially as an organizational leader in board work.
  • Professional experience in sports and community life or pedagogically oriented work.

Scope and Conditions

  • The position is 100%.
  • Fixed-term employment for 2 years with a probationary period (6 months), with the possibility of extension.
  • Unregulated working hours, where outreach work mainly takes place in the evenings and weekends.
  • Location: Halmstad or Varberg.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Collective agreement: Unionen and the Employers' Alliance (Sports Committee).
  • You need a B driver's license and access to your own car for the job.
